Hanwha SolarOne Co. Ltd. has signed a memorandum of understanding with authorities in Wuxi New District, China, to develop 100 MW of photovoltaic projects.
Under the terms of the agreement, the Wuxi administrative committee will provide rooftop space and facilitate local government approvals and grid connection. It will also facilitate efforts to obtain preferential tax treatment and project financing. Hanwha SolarOne will own and operate the distributed generation solar projects in the district.
