Heyco Products Inc., a designer and manufacturer of wire-protection products and electronic components, has released new cord grips designed for solar combiner boxes. The grips feature a liquid-tight, snap-in, multi-hole design.
According to Heyco, the cord grips can house multiple power wires or control wires at one entry point, thus reducing the incidence of tightening errors. Installing the grips requires no tools or locknuts, and the ratchet design of the sealing nut assembly provides anti-vibration properties and ensures a firm grip on the cable.
The cord grips' fingers securely lock into panels, with thicknesses ranging from .032 inches to .093 inches. They prevent rotation when used in double-D mounting holes and offer limited intrusion into the combiner box where access is tight, the company adds.
The cord grips are rated IP64 Protection Class and constructed of nylon, with TPE sealing glands that resist salt water, weak acids, gasoline, alcohol, oil, grease and common solvents.
