Heyco Products Inc., a designer and manufacturer of wire-protection products and electronic components, has announced the availability of PVB-101 junction boxes.
Specifically designed for manufacturers of single-diode, double-ribbon photovoltaic panels, PVB-101 boxes feature a low-profile design that maximizes usable solar panel collector space, the company says. Low-insertion-force connectors are designed to make panel connections easy and less costly to install, with no soldering, Heyco adds.
Additional features include practical internal volume and venting for good thermal dissipation and low interim temperatures, cable strain relief incorporated into the box and an ambient temperature range of -40 degrees C to 105 degrees C (UL). The boxes are also IP65-pending, UL-approved and TUV-certification-pending.
