Heyco Products Inc., a U.S.-based designer and manufacturer of wire protection products and electronic components, has released its new Solar Masthead cordgrips for solar installers and integrators.
The company says the Masthead cordgrips are threaded into an adapter that allows the cordgrips to be attached directly to rigid (PVC) or EMT-type conduit. Constructed of UV-resistant nylon with a TPE or Buna-N sealing gland, the cordgrips provide a watertight seal for PV module output leads to inverters. Also, generous wrenching flats allow for ease of assembly, no disassembly is required for installation and NPT threads easily assemble into schedule 40 fittings. Heyco adds that Masthead cordgrips resist salt water, weak acids, gasoline, alcohol, oil, grease and common solvents, are IP68 and 94V-2 flammability rated, and handle temperatures from -22 degrees F to 212 degrees F.
