Honda Dealership Puts Solar On Its Roof

University Honda & Pacific Power Management LLC announced the construction of a solar electric system at University Honda in Davis, Calif. The 142 kW system uses 979 Sharp solar panels to produce 233,000 kW annually.

‘On a personal level, I have wanted to go solar for some time now because of the rising cost of electricity,’ states Doug Malinoff, owner of University Honda. ‘I have seen my bill double, even triple in the last 10 years. While the cost of installing solar is initially much more than my electric bill is on a monthly basis, there is a long term cost savings.’

University Honda's solar system was designed and installed by Pacific Power Management of Auburn, Calif.
