Honeywell Installing Solar PV System For Solano County

0

Solano County, Calif., has awarded Honeywell a contract to install a 746 kW solar array near the Claybank Adult Detention Facility and sell the electricity produced by the panels to the county for use in the detention facility.

The solar system, to be installed on a former military site that has been converted into a parking lot for local school buses, is expected to generate almost 1.2 million kWh of electricity annually. Honeywell will build bus ports on the lot and place the solar panels on top of the structures. The installation is expected to be completed and functional by September.
