i-Energy, a Taiwan-based developer and supplier of photovoltaic power conversion and optimization products, has entered into a strategic partnership with ITRI International Inc., a research and development organization based in Taiwan.
The partnership will include support for i-Energy's product market research, development and strategy, development of new solar technology products, and services for establishing a U.S. office for local sales, marketing and customer service support.
So far, i-Energy has launched two products, the GT260 micro-inverter and the i-Manager Web-based monitoring system. The company says it plans to formally enter the U.S. market in the second quarter of this year.
