Englewood, Colo.-based IHS Inc. has acquired Emerging Energy Research, an advisory firm focusing on the global emerging energy sector. The purchase price is approximately $18 million.
IHS says this acquisition is an important fit at the intersection of two of its important domains: energy and the environment.
