IKEA Completes Solar Energy Installation In Florida

Home furnishings retailer IKEA has completed another solar installation – this time, at its store in Orlando, Fla.

The 120,900 square-foot PV array consists of a 967 kW system, built with 4,115 panels. According to IKEA, the system will produce approximately 1.42 GWh of clean energy annually.

REC Solar
provided the development, design and installation services for the solar energy system.

IKEA owns and operates each of its solar PV energy systems. This installation in Orlando represents IKEA's 18th solar project in the U.S., and the company has 21 more under way.
