Home furnishings retailer IKEA has inaugurated a 1.015 MW solar array in Draper, Utah. According to the company, the 180,500 square-foot PV project, which includes 4,228 modules, is the state's largest private commercial solar project.
For the development, design and installation of the customized solar power system, IKEA contracted with REC Solar Inc. The project represents the 26th completed solar energy project for IKEA in the U.S., with 13 more locations under way.
