Intertek, a provider of testing, inspection and certification services, has opened a new lab in Lake Forest, Calif., to replace its previous lab in Laguna Niguel, Calif.
Intertek says it moved into its new 29,000 square-foot laboratory to increase capacity in order to meet rising demand for testing and certification services in the Western region. The new facility houses Intertek's new regional center of excellence for testing of photovoltaic solar modules.
‘The world political, economic and social environment has created an enormous demand for renewable energy solutions, such as solar power,’ notes Gregg Tiemann, chief executive of Intertek's commercial and electrical division.
