Intevac Inc. says it has received its first order for its ENERGi ion implant system, scheduled to ship in the first quarter of this year.
‘This first production order is a result of the successful completion of the initial phase of an evaluation agreement we have with a large Asian cell manufacturer,’ says Chris Smith, executive vice president and general manager.
According to Intevac, the compact ion implant ENERGi system is designed to meet the cost, efficiency and productivity requirements of solar cell manufacturing and represents a cost-effective doping solution.
