The Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) has unveiled its new Solar Career Map.
The project, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy's SunShot Initiative through the Solar Instructor Training Network, features the people and data behind the expanding world of occupations in the solar energy sector. It describes diverse jobs across the industry, charting possible progression between them and identifying the types of experience and credentials necessary to do them well.
IREC will introduce the Solar Career Map in a free webinar on Nov. 5, from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET. Attendees will learn how to access the map's interactive features and apply ideas about how to make use of the map to make their work more effective.
The IREC team will answer questions – submitted in advance or during the webinar – as time allows.
