The Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) is hosting an online preparatory training workshop for the NABCEP Solar Thermal Exam on Feb. 11-12, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. EST.
This workshop is designed for experienced installers preparing for the NABCEP exam, and IREC stresses it is not a beginner's class. The certification exam will be based on the Solar Thermal Task Analysis, a comprehensive list of tasks and subtasks for contractors installing solar water and pool heating systems on buildings.
Topics to be covered include safety and environmental hazards, space heating, installing solar collectors, water heaters and storage tanks, and maintaining and troubleshooting a solar thermal system.
Registration is now being accepted, and there is a discounted registration fee in place through Feb. 1. The NABCEP Solar Thermal Certification Exam is being held Mar. 15. For more information, go HERE.Â
