Spain-based Isofoton has been awarded a contract to supply 4,172 PV modules for the Santa Rosalia plant, a 1 MW pilot PV project in Mulege, Mexico. The company will supply its ISF-240 solar panels, along with single-axis Isotracker solar trackers.
According to Isofoton, this project, which is being built by Microm SA (Condumex Group), will be the first in Mexico to feature PV tracking technology. Project investment totals more than 78 million pesos, and support has been provided by the Mexican Federal Electricity Board as part of its efforts to develop renewable energy in the country.
