IXYS Corp. has expanded its Schottky diode product families to include the small SMA and SMB SMD packages. With these miniature packages (with voltage ratings of 40 V, 60 V and 100 V), the devices offer high power density, especially for portable products.
Rectifiers with Schottky barriers are ideally suited for power applications having high switching frequencies and low voltage rectification with low energy losses. Typical applications are battery-powered chargers and circuits, solar-powered battery charging, solar-cell panel bypass protection and power supplies.
