Sven Jarby of Oerlikon has been appointed to serve as president of the International Photovoltaic Equipment Association (IPVEA), a nonprofit organization of manufacturers and suppliers of photovoltaic fabrication equipment and related raw materials. Hans-Juergen Stangl of Stangl Semiconductor Equipment AG has stepped down as president.
Jarby, currently vice president of the board of directors, will serve until the next election, which is planned for Sept. 7 during the 25th European PV Solar Energy Conference in Valencia, Spain.
