SOLON Corp., a provider of turnkey solar power plants and photovoltaic products, has hired Jared Schoch as vice president and general manager of the company's power plants business. Schoch will oversee the development of commercial and utility-scale power plants and focus on expanding SOLON's project development business in the Americas.
According to Dan Alcombright, president and CEO of SOLON Corp., the company is currently focusing on expanding its U.S. solar park development business nationally.
Prior to joining SOLON, Schoch spent four and a half years at SunEdison, where he served as managing director of the company's commercial and utility-scale solar development businesses throughout the U.S. Previously, he spent nearly six years as a leader in business development at Johnson Controls in energy efficiency services.
