JinkoSolar Holding Co. Ltd. has supplied 5.7 MW of photovoltaic modules for a 11.6 MW solar power station in Starkenberg, Thuringia, Germany.
Built by Energiebauern GmbH, the project is located on an abandoned strip mine in the south of Starkenberg and is the largest project of its kind in Thuringia, according to JinkoSolar.
Energiebauern is also using JinkoSolar's modules on other projects that are in progress in the region. These installations range from 1.4 MW to 2.7 MW, says Clemens Hold, purchase manager at Energiebauern.
