The juwi group, based in W̦rrstadt, Germany, has completed grid connection of its largest solar power project in 2008 Рthe Waldpolenz energy park in Brandis, located near Leipzig in eastern Germany.
This plant is the fourth-largest photovoltaic array in the world, the company adds. ‘We've completed a one-of-a-kind project, in which grid connection happened even faster than we anticipated,’ says Ingo Rödner, juwi branch director.
The solar park has a surface area of more than 100 hectares. Specialists from juwi solar GmbH installed more than half a million thin-film modules supplied by First Solar. As general contractor, juwi directed planning, logistics and construction site management for the project.
