Solar inverter manufacturer KACO new energy has entered into a partnership with Ampt under which KACO will utilize Ampt's technologies in its inverters.
KACO says its commercial- and utility-scale inverters will be optimized to operate in Ampt Mode. Using KACO inverters in Ampt Mode, system integrators are able to achieve up to an 80% increase in inverter output power, according to the companies. The inverters dissipate less power per kilowatt, increasing operating efficiency and reliability.
When these inverters are deployed in conjunction with Ampt's module-level DC/DC converters, they can deliver an inverter cost savings of up to 40%, the companies add.
