Phoenix-based Knox has introduced the Knox-Vault 4500, a remote electrical power shutdown station designed to be used by first responders in an emergency.
The shutdown switch station contains a UL-listed shunt trip switch housed in a NEMA 3 container that can disconnect electrical power to the building. The shutdown switch is protected against tampering or physical attack from unauthorized individuals, the company says.
According to Knox, the system is suitable for solar power systems, as well as other applications.
