Konarka Technologies Inc., the developer of Konarka Power Plastic, has hired Therese Jordan, Ph.D., as vice president of business development. In this role, Johnson will lead business development efforts as the company focuses on commercialization and mass production of its patent-protected thin film-solar material fabricated from organic photovoltaics.
Johnson has 20 years of progressive experience in business-to-business innovation and 10 years of experience in global marketing. Previously, she was global marketing director at Victrex Plc., a provider of high-performance polymer materials. She spent 15 years at General Electric Corp. in various capacities, including as global market director, polymer physicist, product developer and quality leader.
Johnson is the recipient of various recognition awards, has authored 10 publications and holds four patents.
