This silicone reactive hot melt supports higher-speed assembly, offering productivity improvements in both solar frame and junction box sealing, according to the company.
The physical properties of this 100% silicone neutral cure sealant are designed to minimize contamination of module components during assembly. An advantage of the PV InstantSeal is in the application process, which is made user-friendly by the long pot life (up to 24 hours) and overall open time using this moderate hot melt application with temperatures less than 125 degrees C, Krayden explains.
This technology was developed to meet the demanding sealing requirements of high-speed photovoltaic module frame and junction-box sealing operations. With the strong silicone qualities of weather resistance and low VOC, this clear adhesive offers improved productivity in PV module assembly, the company adds.
