The Krempel Group says it has prepared a new PV backsheet, Akacon BCF (Back Contacting Foil), for production.
The new backsheet is designed for use with solar modules made up of cells with rear-side contacts. It features highly conductive contact surfaces on the cell side and excellent electrical insulation on the outward facing side, Krempel says. The backsheet is also designed to provide traditional product functions, such as lasting protection against harmful environmental influences.
In addition, the backsheet boasts outstanding flatness and high dimensional stability; thermal shrinkage is less than 0.1%, according to the company.
