Gloria Spire Solar has completed the installation of a 308 kW solar energy installation on the roof of The Lee Company's Westbrook, Conn., headquarters. The companies say the system is one of the largest of its kind to be installed by a manufacturing company in Connecticut, and one of the largest in New England.
The system was made possible, in part, by a $1.2 million grant from the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund, which will defray approximately half of the cost of the photovoltaic system.
