A 150 kW PV system in Southern California has become the largest residential solar project in the U.S., according to SolarWorld, which supplied 600 250 W modules for the installation.
The system was installed by SRC Inc., an electrical contractor based in Vista, Calif. The owners of the installation have opted to remain anonymous and have not revealed their exact location.
SolarWorld notes that it provided its Sunkits solar system, a turnkey system program designed for electrical contractors. The installation also features 15 inverters from SMA America and racking from Prosolar Professional Solar Inc., among other components.
