Lighthouse Solar has completed a 855 kW ballasted roof-mounted photovoltaic system on the headquarters of Nice-Pak Products in Orangeburg, N.Y. The array consists of 3,419 250-W polycrystalline panels covering over 160,000 square feet of roof space. The system is expected to generate about 1 GWh of electricity per year.
‘There is always a feeling of accomplishment when we complete an installation of a solar system,’ says Jason Iahn, sales manager of Lighthouse Solar's Hudson Valley region. ‘The work we do benefits the environment and helps companies meet their sustainability goals for the long term.’
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority provided funding for this project through Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo's NY-Sun Initiative.
