Lumeta Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of DRI Cos. and a developer of building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) products, has completed the installation of a 260 kW PowerPly PV installation on the rooftop of the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix.
This project represents the first U.S. commercial installation of the lightweight, roof-integrated PowerPly photovoltaic module, the company notes. PowerPly consists of a DuPont Tefzel front sheet and a lightweight composite substrate with monocrystalline silicon solar cells that eliminates the glass and aluminum frame structure of conventional modules, according to Lumeta.
