Madico Inc.'s specialty films business unit, a backsheet manufacturer for photovoltaic solar modules, says its Protekt backsheet has been granted certification from Japan's Electrical Safety & Environment Technology Laboratories (JET), a national certifying agency.
Requirements for JET certification extend beyond the successful completion of safety conformity tests; the manufacturing environment must also be compliant to a strict quality control process, the company notes. JET verifies that specific module constructions meet the exacting long-term performance requirement of the region.
