The specialty films division of Madico Inc. has increased its manufacturing capacity from 4 GW to 7.5 GW for the Protekt photovoltaic backsheet technology.
This technology maximizes product availability by substituting a widely available coating for the supply chain-constrained material on which competing products rely, the company says. Madico says it improved efficiencies by incorporating lean principles into its manufacturing and distribution functions. The company also opened additional backsheet assembly plants worldwide.
