Mage Solar says it has contracted with an investor group to install a 1.5 MW solar photovoltaic system near Augsburg, Germany. Construction of the project began recently and will be completed before the end of the year.
The system comprises 8,440 Mage POWERTEC monocrystalline modules, rated at 180 W each, supported by a non-tracking mounts.
The company notes that it is planning the construction of a production site for POWERTEC modules in the U.S. in the first half of 2010.
