Magna International Inc. says its Cosma International operating unit plans to open a manufacturing facility in Phoenix. Cosma, a global metal-forming supplier in the automotive industry, has recently expanded into non-automotive markets, including the solar market.
The new facility, to be called Cosma Power Systems, is expected to be ready for production later this month. The 166,000 square-foot facility will produce metal structures and roll-formed components and systems for the photovoltaic, concentrated photovoltaic and concentrated solar power markets. At the start of production, the company expects to create approximately 50 to 60 full-time new jobs.
