Magnolia Solar Corp. has appointed Dr. Zhong Lin Wang, director at the Center for Nanostructure Characterization at Georgia Tech, to its technical advisory board.
Wang is an expert in nanostructure growth and characterization of semiconductor materials and devices for energy-harvesting technology, Magnolia Solar says. He has done pioneering work on zinc oxide, zinc sulphide and related materials-based nanostructures, such as nanowires and nanorods growth technology, growth demonstration and work in applications for energy-harvesting technology and other optical sensor applications.
He is an inventor or co-inventor of many U.S. patents and has authored or co-authored more than 650 publications. Among other honors, he is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and the American Association of Advancement of Science.
