The Solar Energy Industries Association has released new national polling data showing that 75% of those surveyed support the development of solar energy plants on public lands. The poll was conducted by Gotham Research Group.

In addition, the survey revealed that solar power was the top choice as the best use of public land, with 38% of the vote. Respondents also selected solar farms and wind power (22% each) as the top energy sources that the government should prioritize for support. These options were more popular than natural gas (selected by 16% of respondents), nuclear (16%), oil (11%) and coal (4%).
