Mansfield Energy Corp. says it has received LEED Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) following the installation of an array during a recent expansion at its corporate headquarters in Gainesville, Ga.
Mansfield's corporate headquarters is the first building in Hall County, Ga., to receive LEED certification at any level, according to the company. The expansion project was led by Carroll Daniel Construction, a commercial construction services firm, and features 324 305 W multicrystalline silicon solar modules.
Additional building modifications were also made to reduce overall energy consumption, including the installation of enhanced heating and air systems to improve indoor air quality and efficient electrical and plumbing fixtures.
