Martifer Solar Delivers Grid-Parity Solar Project To IKEA In Italy

0

Martifer Solar has delivered a 696.15 kW solar power plant for IKEA's new retail store in Pisa, Italy. The unsubsidized rooftop project has been structured without a feed-in tariff.

The power generation from the photovoltaic project will be at a levelized cost of electricity that is equal to or less than the price of electricity being sold from the grid.

Martifer Solar provided engineering, procurement and construction services for the project and will be responsible for operations and maintenance. The array incorporates approximately 2,700 solar modules.

‘This is a solid proof that grid parity in Italy is now a reality, and we are proud to move toward this new market concept,’ says Valerio Senatore, general manager of Martifer Solar in Italy.
