Truecast Capital LLC has invested $3.5 million in Standard Solar Inc., a three-year-old solar energy services company headquartered in Gaithersburg, Md., that provides residential and small commercial solar systems.
‘This investment is a credit to the progress Standard Solar has made and enables the company to fulfill its vision to become the premier installer of solar serving the residential and commercial markets,’ says Steve Lamb, a managing partner at Truecast Capital.
‘We think bringing in this combination of capital and managerial experience will be a huge gain for the company,’ adds Anthony Clifford, Standard Solar's president. ‘There is the potential for enormous growth in both the residential and commercial solar electric installation business.’
