Thornwood Self Storage Center, a 48,000 square-foot self-storage facility located in Thornwood, N.Y., has completed a rooftop solar energy system.
The 82 kW system, consisting of 405 Suntech panels, was installed by Mercury Solar Systems. The facility financed the solar project and offset nearly 70% of the cost with incentives through New York State Energy Research and Development Authority's Solar Electric Incentive Program and a federal grant.
