Survalent Technology, a provider of smart grid solutions, says it has commissioned a new supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for a solar power plant in Mexico.

The 1 MW Santa Rosalia photovoltaic pilot project, which will be operated by Mexico's Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE), is located in the Baja California Sur region of the country. The project consists of PV modules, a support structure with axis tracking, a power conditioning system, a control and monitoring system, the main transformer, connection and disconnection equipment, the control booth, a perimeter fence and a security system.

The engineering, development and commissioning of the automation and control system was done by Tesla Ingenieria SA de CV, Survalent's certified integrator. The SCADA system will provide a platform that will allow CFE to control and monitor the infrastructure under any conditions, according to Survalent.
