Meyer Burger has signed a contract with an Asian cell manufacturer for the supply of coating systems for its heterojunction solar cell line.
The Germany-based equipment manufacturer says the production line has the capacity to turn out 2,400 wafers an hour and that the resulting cells are destined for rooftop installations. Meyer Burger says it will deliver its HELiAPECVD and HELiAPVD coating systems in the first quarter of 2014.
