Meyer Burger Technology Ltd. has been awarded three contracts totaling over CHF 25 million ($28.1 million) from existing customers.

Meyer Berger has not revealed the names of the customers but says ‘leading photovoltaic manufacturers in Asia’ have concluded two contracts for the supply of precision diamond wire cutting systems and module equipment.

An unidentified solar wafer manufacturer signed a follow-up contract for the delivery of water-based diamond wire saws for the production of solar wafers for high-performance cells. The second contract is for the supply and provisioning of module lamination technology to an unidentified module manufacturer. Meyer Berger says the overall annual production capacity of the two contracts is 700 MW, with delivery of the systems scheduled throughout this year.

In addition, the company says it has received a strategic follow-up contract for the delivery of industrial diamond-wire-based cutting systems in non-PV technologies.
