Dickstein Shapiro has hired Michael F. Cusick as a partner in the firm's energy practice. The practice counsels on matters including the acquisition, sale, financing and structuring of energy companies and energy assets, among others.
Cusick, who has been practicing law for more than 30 years, comes to Dickstein Shapiro from Jones Day. His recent representations have included advising the successful bidder involved in the first contested takeover of an electric utility; the acquisition by a regulated electric company from a hedge fund of a generating plant; and the sale by a U.S. utility holding company of its interests in three Italian waste-to-energy plants.
