Mitsubishi Electric & Electronics USA has introduced Diamond Mount, a complete DC photovoltaic product, to the North American market. The Diamond Mount package includes Mitsubishi Electric photovoltaic modules, a ballasted racking system designed by P2, and all DC balance-of-system components, including the combiner box.
The electrical and mechanical configurations of the Diamond Mount system are pre-designed, and all of the components are sourced and designed to work together to optimize power output, according to the company.
Diamond Mount is available in 100 kW, 250 kW and 500 kW blocks and is highly scalable for projects ranging from 100 kW to 100 MW, Mistubishi adds. The complete DC solution was designed for large ground-mount or roof-mount projects and can be ordered in any tilt angle.
P2, an integrated solar solutions company based in Livermore, Calif., designed the mounting system to be completely modular and quick and easy to assemble. Diamond Mount has a high strength-to-weight ratio, uses less aluminum and less ballasts than conventional mounting systems, and does not penetrate the ground.
