MP2 Capital Completes 921 kW PV Array

0

MP2 Capital, a developer, financier and operator of solar projects, has completed a 921.2 kW solar photovoltaic array at the Sacramento County Water Agency's Vineyard Surface Water Treatment Plant in Sacramento, Calif.

The installation represents MP2 Capital's seventh completed project in California. MP2 Capital will sell all of the power generated by the system to the Sacramento County Water Agency for a period of 20 years. In addition, the Sacramento Municipal Utility District will purchase all of the environmental attributes that are generated by the system for a period of five years.

MP2 Capital provided the financing for the project and worked closely with Oak Leaf Energy Partners, which provided development services, and Intermountain Electric, which engineered and installed the system using Yingli Solar modules.

According to MP2 Capital, the array will generate approximately 1.45 GWh of electricity for the Sacramento County Water Agency in the first year of operation – approximately 15% of the facility's requirements – and approximately 27.6 GWh during the system's lifetime.
