MTG Moltec has introduced its new Quik-Fit II Solar Array Interconnect System (SAIS), which was developed through direct efforts with developers and installation contractors to reduce the costs of materials and skilled labor associated with long PV wiring runs.
The Quik-Fit II SAIS is designed and manufactured by MTG Moltec using its specialized wire-protection products and fittings, providing flexible, durable and watertight construction with high resistance to UV exposure, the company says. The system utilizes industry-standard cable connectors for interconnection to the input/output cable connectors from each multi-panel array.
The pre-engineered and pre-wired SAIS is laid out along the entire length of each row of panels and is quickly mounted using only a common screwdriver to secure the provided brackets. The brackets are available for any number of frame or flat surface configurations commonly used in array support structures. Once mounted, the input and output connectors of the SAIS are mated to the array connectors.
