Germany-based engineering and construction company M+W Group has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a 55 MW power plant in Israel. The deal also includes commissioning and maintenance.
The client and shareholder in the project is Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd., a subsidiary of Israeli holding company Eurocom Group. The construction site is located near Moshav Ohad, approximately 100 kilometers south of Tel Aviv. The plant will include more than 180,000 crystalline PV modules and 60 central inverters.
Annual output is expected to reach approximately 118,250 MWh. All of the electricity will be supplied to the high-voltage grid of Israel Electric Corp. A separate 22/161 kV substation will be set up as part of plant construction.
