Engineering firm M+W Zander has finished a new solar cell manufacturing facility for Q-Cells in Malaysia. This project was completed within a tight construction time frame of less than eight months, the company notes.
The three-story solar-cell factory, with eight production lines, has an annual output of 500 MW. Q-Cells' order included site master planning, detailed design, and procurement and construction management, followed by installation of all process equipment.
In addition to the site master planning, M+W Zander was also responsible for design and coordination of the process media systems within the newly developed science park.
