Engineering company M+W Zander Group says last year it booked a worldwide order backlog of photovoltaic projects representing more than 1 GW of annual capacity. This figure corresponds to a three-fold increase compared with 2006 (410 MW).
Out of the projects commissioned in 2007, about half (600 MW) were combined design and construction projects, 480 MW were pure design projects and 130 MW were related to services. The projects are based on thin-film and wafer-based technologies.
