New Inverter Will Connect Small Wind Turbines To The Grid

0

Sustainable Energy Technologies Ltd., a Calgary, Alberta-based power inverter manufacturer, has introduced a new inverter that will deliver power from small wind turbines to electricity grids.

The new Sunergy inverter will have the same high efficiencies available to solar photovoltaic applications, the company says. It will also have the capability to provide backup power during grid outages and connect hybrid systems incorporating both solar and wind energy.

The first product application will be for a residential-scale wind turbine developed by Japan's Zephyr Corp., named the Airdolphin Mark-Zero. Under the agreement with Zephyr, Sustainable Energy Technologies has acquired the right to bundle the wind turbine with the new inverter product for distribution in Canada.
